The Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the most famous landmarks in Los Angeles, honoring actors, musicians, directors, and other entertainment figures. But how do celebrities earn a spot on this iconic sidewalk?

First, a celebrity must be nominated by a fan, organization, or even themselves. A committee from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce then reviews the nominations, considering the nominee’s contributions to the entertainment industry. Each year, only a select few are chosen.

Once selected, the honoree (or their sponsor) must pay a fee, currently around $75,000, which covers the star’s creation, installation, and maintenance. The celebrity must also agree to attend an unveiling ceremony, making it a celebrated event for fans and media alike.

Earning a star is a prestigious honor, symbolizing a lasting legacy in Hollywood. From legendary icons to modern-day stars, each name on the Walk of Fame represents a significant contribution to entertainment history.
